General Description

The sociology CLEP covers the basics you would learn in a first year class. Grabbing a cheap first year sociology class should do the trick in passing this one. However, make sure you take some practice tests before writing to test yourself.

The sociology CLEP is broken out into 5 main sections which then are broken down again. They are:


20% Institutions
15% Social patterns
20% Social processes
30% Social stratification (process and structure)
15% The sociological perspective

How to Study for the Sociology CLEP

For start look over this site and what we have to offer. The easiest thing to do is get any first year college-level sociology book. Many books contain all you will need to learn but make sure to do some practice tests once you’ve studied.
