Math TermsYou should be familiar with all of the following terms before writing the CLEP college math exam Integer Or Whole Numbers - Are numbers without decimals. They can be positive or negative. Example: -2,-1,0,1,2,3….infinite.
Sets - Any collection of things, in this case numbers, with a similar theme. Example: S={All odd integers between 0 and 10} would Equal S={1,3,5,7,9}
Element - These are the things found within a set. Example: S={1,3,5,7,9} Then 1,3,5,7,9 would all be elements of S. The symbol for elements is ∈ so you could say 3 ∈ S.
